Twenty-eight years of standing beside every school that dares to teach.
Founded in 1998 in Srinagar, the Private Schools Association of Jammu & Kashmir began as a handful of principals around one table. Today we are the region's largest education body — a united voice that protects school managements, lifts teaching standards and speaks for half a million students.

President's message
Dear Members of the Jammu & Kashmir Community and Our Esteemed Diaspora,
Warm greetings.
Jammu & Kashmir has always been a land of knowledge and resilience. In today’s changing world, education remains our strongest path to progress and dignity. As President of PSAJK, I am honoured to represent institutions dedicated to shaping the future of our children.
Our mission is to ensure that every child — across cities, towns, and remote areas — has access to quality education and equal opportunity. We are focused on strengthening access to education, teacher development, skill-based learning, and student well-being.
We also invite our diaspora to stay connected and support this shared vision through mentorship, collaboration, and meaningful contributions.
Together, let us build an inclusive, progressive, and future-ready education system for Jammu & Kashmir.

Who we are
To build a strong, ethical and future-ready education system where schools are empowered, educators respected, and students learn in an environment rooted in values.
We stand beside every private school in the region — safeguarding their rights, lifting teaching standards, and helping them embrace modern, technology-driven learning.
Our values
A commitment to student welfare guides everything we do at PSAJK — grounded in five principles.
We act with honesty and hold ourselves to the same standards we ask of our schools.
Open processes and clear communication behind every decision we take.
One collective voice for thousands of schools across Jammu & Kashmir.
Championing modern teaching, technology and future-ready classrooms.
The wellbeing and future of every child guides everything we do.
Twenty-eight years, one mission
From a dozen schools in Srinagar to a region-wide association — the milestones that shaped PSAJK.
A unified voice is born
PSAJK was founded as a unified voice for private schools across Jammu & Kashmir, beginning with a handful of member institutions in Srinagar who believed the sector deserved a seat at the table.
